My Intro LOGO I created for myself is designed using After Effects Red Giant Trapcode form and Photoshop cs3.

The Text is used as a Layer map in trapcode form.

Photoshop is used to design the behind background.

Waving and other starglow effects are being used to enhance the motion and give a sand effect.

3D Layer capability in after effects helped manipulating the layers while animating them.
